Objectives

• Deepen the knowledge of the Castilian language, attending the peculiarities of Andalucía and developing the necessary language skills to understand and produce oral and written messages appropriate to different contexts, with property, autonomy and creativity.
• Express fluently and correctly in a foreign language and to understand and convey messages in a second foreign language.
• Develop healthy lifestyle habits, especially those that relate to the practice of physical exercise and sports, understanding and appreciating the impact they have in various events and personal decisions in individual and collective health.
• Analyze and critically evaluate contemporary global realities and the background and factors that influence it.
• Understand the essential elements of research and rigorous scientific methods used in the study of objects of specific knowledge of different disciplines and in situations related to day to day personal or social experience.
• Enable personal, social and moral maturity which permits to act responsibly and independently evaluating the effort and the capacity for initiative.
• Analyze the basic mechanisms governing the operation of the physical and natural environment, assess the impact on the human activities and participate in joint development, protection, conservation and improvement of the socio-natural environment.
• Know and value the natural, cultural, and historical heritage of Andalucía and contribute to its maintenance and improvement, as well as understand the cultural and the linguistic diversity as a fundamental right and value of peoples and individuals under its insertion into the Community diversity of the Spanish State and the Commonwealth of Nations.
• Master the basic scientific and technological knowledge and basic skills to that pattern, as well as their applications and impact on the physical, natural and social environment.
• Develop artistic and literary sensitivity as a source of training and cultural enrichment.
• Know the beliefs, attitudes and basic values of our cultural heritage for assessing them critically and to act independently in developing attitudes of solidarity and tolerance and promote equality in all forms of discrimination.
