Objectives of the First Cycle

To develop the following capabilities:

  • Psychomotor expression. Knowledge and development of body scheme, spatial organization, psychomotor domain, sensory development, etc.
  • Communication. Discovery and use of all communication possibilities (verbal and nonverbal languages) on the body.
  • Affectivity. Acceptance of the capabilities and limitations of their body; esteem and security.
  • Socialization. Collective habits and behaviors related to health.
  • Creativity and Dramatization. Expressive resources to participate in dramatic play.
  • Sensoriality. Receiving and collecting information from the outside world through the senses.

Objectives of the Second Cycle

  • Act progressively and independently in usual activities (identification of physical and communicative possibilities of the body).
  • Show effective and emotional security, and develop competencies of initiative and self-confidence.
  • Affective relations with the same and with adults.
  • Acquire, through identification, observation and comparison, basic habits of wellness and individual and collective health.
  • Establish social relationships and joint progressively own interests, points of view and own contributions with others.
  • Respect individual differences and display attitudes of mutual help and cooperation.
  • Identify, compare, appreciate and respect different ways of behavior of people, and gradually develop their own performance criteria.
  • Observe and explore, through all senses and using the resources of the body, the immediate environment, identifying the characteristics and the most significant properties of beings, and interpreting objects and events gradually adjusted to the reality of phenomena and the facts.
  • Express by symbolic possibilities offered by the game as other forms of representation (free and conventional) the aspects of reality.
  • Intervene actively in the immediate reality and participating in community life.
  • Appropriately use of verbal and nonverbal language to different situations of communication and various contexts, to understand others, be understood by others, express ideas, feelings, experiences and desires.
  • Represent in a personal and creative way, using all kinds of language, in expressive forms and strategies of encoding and decoding, other aspects of the reality experienced or imagined.
  • Use the verbal language and extra linguistic resources and other languages (body, design, musical and symbolic) to advance the construction of meanings, regulate their own behavior and group activity and influence others.
  • Identify cultural events and participate in the environment and show attitudes of interest and appreciation for the culture and respect for cultural diversity.
  • Solve problems and/or conflicts in school life and family, and individual and collective tasks dominating impulsive behavior, using simple mediated strategies (expressing the problem, anticipate several possible solutions, evaluate them and act in accordance with a prearranged plan).
